Job summary

Nick Myers Agency in Portage, MI is seeking an Agent in Training to join our Farmers Insurance team. No prior insurance experience is required; paid training starts on day one and you will learn to quote and sell Auto, Home, Life, and Business insurance.

You will work warm leads, meet customers, and pursue income through uncapped commissions while developing sales skills and aiming for agency ownership in the long term. Training supports licensing costs and ongoing coaching.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Goal-oriented and comfortable in a sales environment.
• Coachable and willing to learn.
• Sales experience strongly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work warm and hot leads through inbound calls, Farmers leads, purchased leads, referrals, and our existing book of business
• Quote and sell Auto, Home, Life, Business, and Specialty insurance
• Meet with customers, follow up with prospects, and build lasting relationships
• Cross-sell existing customers and generate referrals
• Network and develop new business in the community
• Participate in ongoing sales training and coaching
• Work toward individual sales goals
