Job summary

Farmers Insurance is seeking an Agent in Training in Michigan, in-office, with a path to agency leadership or ownership. You will learn how an agency operates while developing client-facing and sales skills.

Paid training leads to a competitive base salary with commission and bonuses, and you’ll gain hands-on experience across operations and sales. You’ll work with leadership to grow the book of business, manage relationships, and develop the skills needed to run a successful insurance business.

Qualifications

• Willing to work in-office in Michigan.
• Active Michigan Property & Casualty and Life, Accident & Health licenses or willingness to obtain them.
• Strong interest in sales, business development and long-term growth.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership of results.
• Excellent communication, verbal and written, with trust-building ability.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through inbound/outbound sales, phone, text, email and virtual outreach.
• Conduct cold and warm calling to build a consistent sales pipeline.
• Follow up on leads, inquiries, and walk-ins to identify coverage needs and close opportunities.
• Build community relationships through events, networking and referrals.
• Meet customers to review coverage and provide tailored insurance solutions.
• Deliver high service by handling changes, questions, renewals and claims support.
