Job summary

National General is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive profitable growth by generating new business and cross-selling to existing customers. You will build lasting relationships, work face-to-face and by phone, and expand the book of business through local marketing and community involvement.

You’ll develop a strong pipeline with leads, while staying informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and competition to meet performance standards and deliver excellent customer

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience.
• P&C licensing preferred or must attain licensure within 90 days of joining.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline with local lead generation and referrals.
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support growth.
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales.
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations.
