Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Houston seeks a leader to drive new sales, retention, and client revenue growth. You will manage a team of client service and underwriting staff, while expanding relationships with customers and partners.

Responsibilities include soliciting submissions, quoting coverage, and ensuring profitable growth. You will oversee recruitment, performance, and training of the team and address inquiries and complaints as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in insurance brokerage, carrier, or related business sales.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships and prospects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret client needs.
• Proven track record of working effectively across teams and levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business relationships with sales associates, underwriters, and insurance company representatives.
• Solicit submissions from sales associates and provide quotes for coverage.
• Place accounts and drive profitability, retention, and organic growth.
• Lead and develop a team of client service and underwriting staff.
• Handle complaints, inquiries, and escalation of issues.
• Communicate account problems to branch or division manager, including potential E&O incidents.
• Collect unpaid receivables and manage production levels set by leadership.
• Keep current with products and industry trends.
