Job summary

Farmers Insurance is seeking an entrepreneurial Agent in Training in Michigan to gain hands-on experience in sales, client relationships, and agency operations. The program leads toward leadership or ownership within Farmers.

You will receive paid training, with a base salary after training, plus commission and performance-based bonuses, in an in-office position with potential for remote work. A strong interest in long-term career growth and licensing in Michigan is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, client relationships, or business development preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain a sales pipeline
• Motivation to grow into agency leadership or ownership
• Willingness to obtain required licenses in Michigan if not currently licensed

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through inbound and outbound activities (phone, text, email, virtual outreach)
• Conduct cold and warm calls to build a consistent sales pipeline
• Follow up on leads and inquiries to identify coverage needs
• Attend local events and develop partnerships to create referrals
• Meet with clients in person/phone/virtual to review coverage and provide solutions
• Educate clients on options, risks, and protection strategies
• Deliver high service through policy changes, renewals, and claims support
• Identify cross-sell opportunities within existing book of business
• Maintain accurate records in CRM and agency systems
• Stay updated on Farmers products and promotions to stay competitive
• Support agency growth by meeting production and activity targets
• Collaborate with team to improve processes and maintain a performance-driven environment
