Job summary

Farmers Insurance District 73 - Thomas Keenan is seeking an Agent in Training to develop a long‑term career in insurance. The role includes paid training, then a competitive base salary with commissions and bonuses, and work in an office setting in Michigan with possible remote options.

You will learn agency operations, build a client book, and grow toward leadership or ownership within the Farmers system. Licenses or willingness to obtain them are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree or prior sales/leadership experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interest in sales and long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through inbound and outbound activities (phone, text, email, virtual outreach).
• Conduct cold and warm calls to build a consistent sales pipeline.
• Follow up on leads, inquiries, and prospects to identify coverage needs and close opportunities.
• Build community relationships through events and partnerships to create referrals.
• Meet with customers to review coverage and provide tailored insurance solutions.
