Job summary

Farmers Insurance - District 73 is seeking an Agent in Training to launch a long-term career in insurance with hands-on sales, client relationships, and agency operations experience. The role offers paid training that leads to a competitive base salary plus commission and bonuses, with an in-office setup in Michigan and potential remote work as training progresses.

Licensure in Michigan Property & Casualty and Life, Accident & Health insurance is required or obtainable, with free pre-licensing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree or prior sales, customer service, or leadership experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interest in sales, business development, and long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through a mix of inbound and outbound sales activities.
• Conduct cold and warm calling to prospective customers and referrals to build a pipeline.
• Follow up on leads, inquiries, and walk-in prospects to identify coverage needs and close opportunities.
• Build relationships through local networking and community partnerships to create referrals.
• Meet with customers to review coverage and provide tailored insurance solutions.
• Deliver high levels of service by handling policy changes, questions, renewals, and claims support.
