Farmers Insurance is hiring for an Insurance Agent in Training position in California. The role focuses on learning to generate new business, tailoring coverage, and building lasting client relationships through mentorship and development in sales.

The program emphasizes structured training, potential licensing, and career growth toward agency ownership, with options for hybrid scheduling and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• One or more years of sales, customer service, or insurance experience preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and apply coaching.
• Confidence in outbound calls and sales conversations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• A Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license is a plus, or willingness to obtain licensing.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn to generate new business by identifying prospects, conducting outreach, and converting leads into policies.
• Consult with customers to understand and recommend coverage that meets their needs.
• Support sales and cross-sales of Auto, Home, Life, and Commercial policies.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships through regular communication and policy reviews.
• Work toward individual sales goals to support agency growth.
• Become familiar with insurance products, services, and compliance requirements.
• Use CRM tools to manage leads, follow-ups, and monitor renewals.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and strategy sessions.
