Job summary

Lockton invites recent graduates to join the Associate Account Manager Program in Kansas City. This two-year training path blends formal instruction with hands-on client experience in Commercial Insurance, exposure to marketing, servicing, and renewal activities within the People Solutions or Risk Management practice.

Participants begin in January or June 2026 and can advance to Account Manager after successful completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with GPA of 3.3 or higher.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings, including training sessions.
• Ability to protect confidentiality of client and company information.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed.
• Legally able to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Participates in negotiations with carriers for new and renewal quotes with oversight.
• Collaborates with senior staff in selecting new markets for submission and requesting quotes.
• Reviews new business opportunity information and provides related recommendations to Unit Manager/Account Executive/Producer.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with Clients, carriers, and other vendors.
• Reviews quotes, binders, and endorsements and requests changes as needed.
• Receives policy, updates and completes policy check to ensure completeness.
• Updates specifications, application, and summary information to reflect changes during the year.
• Informs Client of any changes affecting premiums or coverage.
• Inputs Client information into data management system for accuracy.
• Generates materials for Client presentations and meetings.
• Creates and sends compliance communications as needed.
• Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed.
