Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is seeking an Instrument Technician to maintain, repair and troubleshoot electronic and control equipment across our facilities. The role requires performing preventive maintenance, interpreting PID schematics, and ensuring pipeline safety checks meet DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license for the state of residence.
• Able to climb tanks and work outdoors in extreme weather and perform heavy physical labor (up to 50 lbs).
• Must obtain a Federal TWIC card.
• Professional verbal & written communications with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, installation and repair of electronic and control equipment.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and PLC-based systems per PID and schematics.
• Test and log pipeline safety checks as required by DOT regulations.
• Coordinate work with other technicians and supervise contract personnel when needed.
• Maintain safe and healthful working conditions following industry safety standards.
