Job summary

Energy Transfer LP in Texas is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to provide control-systems support for gas and liquid facilities and pipelines. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and maintain SCADA and related equipment.

Responsibilities include calibrating sensors, maintaining PLC/DCS and safety systems, reading engineering drawings, and adhering to DOT and OSHA standards while participating in on-call rotations and safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant technical training preferred.
• 0-2 years experience for Level C; more for higher levels.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Experience with control systems, PLCs, and field instrumentation preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems and related equipment.
• Repair and maintain PLC or DCS systems and safety controls.
• Read manuals, drawings, and schematics for installation tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document activities.
• Participate in call-out shifts and on-call requirements.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to less experienced staff.
