Job summary

Energy Transfer seeking an Instrument Technician to repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on electronic and control equipment at our Sinking Spring, PA site. You will work with technicians, interpret PID schematics, and ensure safe operation of instrumentation and RTU systems.

The role requires climbing tanks, outdoor work in varying weather, lifting up to 50 pounds, and obtaining a TWIC card. Strong MS Office skills and solid communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Associate's degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent instrument experience.
• Must maintain valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to climb tanks and work outdoors in extreme weather and perform heavy physical labor including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain a Federal Government issued TWIC card.
• Professional verbal & written communications skills and be capable of interfacing with all levels of management.
• Must be able to use sound judgment, be a self-starter and well organized.
• Proficiency utilizing MS Applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and installations on electronic and control equipment.
• Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and RTU equipment.
• Interpret PID and electrical/electronic schematics and modify as needed.
• Conduct routine testing and logging of pipeline safety checks per DOT regulations.
• Coordinate work with other technicians and oversee contract work when required.
• Maintain safe and healthful working conditions and comply with safety standards.
