Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to provide technical support for construction, plant facilities, and field operations. The role involves repair, installation, troubleshooting, and predictive and preventative maintenance on control systems, SCADA, and gas compression stations.

You will inspect process controls and maintain PLC/DCS environments. The position requires reading engineering drawings, complying with DOT/PSM guidance, and performing LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• MS Office Suite including Outlook and Word.
• Experience troubleshooting, designing, or configuring control solutions with In Touch Wonderware, Factory Talk, RSLogix, or Delta V.
• Extensive knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and related testing/documentation for plants and pipelines.
• Understanding of National Electric Code and OSHA 1910 in electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems, plant, pipeline instrumentation, and electrical equipment.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution, motor control gear, and related software.
• Maintain PLCs or DCS systems and process/safety controls.
• Read and interpret manuals, standards, regulations, drawings and schematics.
• Test, calibrate, and document control devices per regulatory requirements; keep preventative maintenance current.
• Participate in on-call requirements and safety initiatives.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to less experienced staff and contractors.
• Provide accurate written and electronic reporting.
