Job summary

Energy Transfer in Texas seeks an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to support construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, and troubleshoot control systems, SCADA, and gas compression stations, ensuring compliance with DOT and safety standards.

You will read manuals and schematics, perform preventive maintenance, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor less experienced staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Experience with control systems software and PLC/DCS troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook/Word).
• Knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 related to electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA, instrument, electrical equipment at plant and pipeline sites.
• Repair, install, and maintain PLC/DCS systems and related safety controls.
• Read manuals, drawings, and schematics for installations and testing.
• Test and document control devices per regulatory requirements.
• Provide on-call support and mentor junior staff.
