Job summary

Energy Transfer LP in Louisiana is seeking an Instrument & Electrical Technician to provide support across construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on control systems, natural gas compression or pump stations, SCADA, and related equipment at gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Outlook and Word.
• Experience using software to troubleshoot, design, or configure control solutions such as InTouch Wonderware, FactoryTalk, RSLogix, or DeltaV.
• Extensive knowledge of DOT 192, 193, and 195, and OSHA 1910 as it relates to electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument and electrical equipment components.
• Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution systems, motor controls, and related software.
• Install, diagnose, and maintain PLCs or DCS systems and process or safety controls.
• Read and interpret manuals, drawings, policies, standards, and schematics (electrical, pneumatic, P&ID).
• Test and document plant and compressor station control and safety devices per applicable requirements.
• Participate in on-call requirements and contribute to safety programs.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to less qualified employees and supervise contractors.
