Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to support construction, plant facilities, and field operations. The role involves repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and performing predictive and preventative maintenance on SCADA, PLC/DCS, and related equipment across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The position requires knowledge of safety controls, DOT standards, and electrical systems, with responsibilities including on-call rotation and mentoring junior

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word) and basic computer skills.
• Experience using software to troubleshoot, design, or configure control solutions (Wonderware, FactoryTalk, RSLogix, DeltaV).
• Knowledge of DOT 192, 193, 195; OSHA 1910 standards as they pertain to electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument and electrical equipment components.
• Read and interpret manuals, drawings, standards, and schematics related to electrical/pneumatic systems and P&IDs.
• Perform testing, calibration, and documentation of control devices per regulatory requirements.
• Provide work direction and mentoring to other technicians and interact with third-party contractors.
