Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Intern for their Nuclear Power Group. The role involves supporting the engineering team on projects that integrate electrical and mechanical aspects with control theory, including sensors, digital controllers, pumps, valves, and turbines.

You will work under senior engineers, assisting with calculations and designs, while engaging in project reporting and progress tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in engineering with a strong academic background and coursework in analog and digital control systems, systems engineering, mechatronics, or robotics
• Enrollment in an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English (read, speak, and write)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs
• Work on a variety of tasks associated with project reporting, such as tracking and evaluating project activities, project progress, and associated data
