Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Intern for a summer 2027 start. You will join a project team to assist with design and modification of power plant systems, combining electrical, mechanical, and control theory elements.

Under senior engineers, you will work on sensors, digital controllers, displays, and other equipment to improve nuclear plant functionality. Hybrid work includes three days in office and two remote days.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited program enrollment preferred
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering with control systems coursework
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Track and evaluate project activities, progress, and data.
• Support project reporting tasks and documentation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on instrumentation and controls projects.
