Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Intern to support a project team on power plant systems. You will assist senior engineers with design calculations, specifications, and documentation, applying control theory to real-world plant equipment.

You’ll gain exposure to sensors, digital controllers, pumps, valves, and turbines while tracking project activities and progress, under guidance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with coursework in analog and digital control systems, systems engineering, mechatronics, or robotics.
• Enrollment in an ABET-accredited program is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Work on project reporting, tracking progress and related data.
