Job summary

Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power Group is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Intern to support design and upgrades of power plant systems, including digital controls and sensors. The role offers exposure to project teams and collaboration with senior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Under supervision, you will prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and designs, and contribute to project reporting and data evaluation. Target start date is summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering with coursework in analog and digital control systems, systems engineering, mechatronics, or robotics.
• Enrollment in ABET-accredited program preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Work on project reporting, tracking project activities and progress.
