Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Intern to assist our engineering team on projects enhancing power plant systems and control hardware. You will learn to integrate electrical, mechanical, and control theory aspects across the design and modification of plant components.

Under senior engineers, you’ll gain hands-on experience with sensors, digital controllers, and process instrumentation, while contributing to calculations, specifications, and project reporting.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in engineering with coursework in analog and digital control systems, systems engineering, mechatronics, or robotics
• Enrollment in ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Prior, related internship or co-op experience is preferred
• Coursework and/or experience in mechatronics and/or robotics
• Understanding of applying electrical/mechanical engineering principles to project design
