Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking an Instrument Mechanic to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems in a chemical plant environment. The role requires strong skills in PLC/DCS, instrumentation repair, and proactive maintenance.

The position includes performing calibrations, preventive maintenance, and updating maintenance documentation while supporting continuous plant operations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Instrumentation.
• 2 years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls installation, troubleshooting, and repair in a Chemical Plant, Refinery, or similar Industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems (electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic).
• Work with PLC/DCS systems, transmitters, valves, relays, and instruments.
• Perform instrument calibrations and preventive maintenance.
• Update maintenance documentation and support plant operations 24/7.
