Job summary

AdvanSix is hiring an Instrument Mechanic to install, maintain and repair electronic, electrical, and instrumentation systems across our facilities in the Richmond area. The role requires PLC/DCS familiarity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work overtime to support 24/7 plant operations.

The successful candidate will perform calibrations, document maintenance activities, read manuals and P&IDs, and interact with equipment manufacturers and technical support.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Instrumentation is required or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls installation, troubleshooting, and repair in a Chemical Plant, Refinery, or similar Industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems.
• Calibrate instruments and perform preventive maintenance.
• Interface with manufacturers, specialists, and technical support.
