Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking an Instrument Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control systems in a chemical plant environment. The role requires performing calibrations, PM activities, and interfacing with vendors while supporting 24/7 operations.

Candidates should have an Associates Degree in Instrumentation or 2 years of related field experience in an industrial setting, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities and a track record of safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, DCS, etc.
• Well-rounded field experience applying good engineering practices to instrumentation repair work.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems.
• Maintain and repair PLC/DCS, I/O devices, and communication systems.
• Perform instrument calibrations and preventive maintenance.
