Job summary

AdvanSix is hiring an Instrumentation-Electrical Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain instrument and electrical systems across our plants in the United States. You will service motor control circuits, power supplies, PLCs, and DCS components, ensuring safe and reliable operation in a high‑voltage environment.

The role requires reading schematics, fault isolation, and preventive maintenance, with strong emphasis on safety and cross‑functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in industrial electrical/electronic tech or related field.
• Five years of Instrumentation-Electrical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical/electronic/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
• Proficient PLC and CNC knowledge.
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose critical equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot AC and DC electronics and control systems.
• Read/interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic drawings and manuals.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair PLC, DCS hardware and software.
• Maintain 480/240V MCC and power distribution systems.
• Repair instrumentation and control devices (pressure, flow, temp).
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
