Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking an Instrument Mechanic to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation systems across a 24/7 plant operation. You will calibrate instruments, perform PM activities, and update maintenance documentation while coordinating with vendors and specialists.

The role requires an Associates Degree in Instrumentation or equivalent experience, plus hands-on knowledge of PLCs and DCS systems, with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Instrumentation or equivalent experience in instrumentation and controls.
2 years of experience in instrumentation and controls installation, troubleshooting, and repair in a chemical plant or similar industrial environment.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of instrumentation design, selection, repair techniques and performance assessment.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation systems and equipment.
Perform calibrations and preventive maintenance (PM) on instrumentation equipment.
Update maintenance documentation and support 24/7 plant operations.
Interface with manufacturers, specialists, and technical support.
