Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking an Instrument Mechanic to install, maintain and repair instrumentation and control systems in our chemical plant environment. The role emphasizes PLC/DCS systems, field instrumentation, and preventive maintenance to support 24/7 operations.

You'll work with engineers and technicians, perform calibrations, read schematics and P&IDs, and ensure safe, reliable plant performance. Associates degree in Instrumentation or equivalent experience required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Instrumentation or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2 years of instrumentation/controls installation, troubleshooting, and repair in an industrial plant is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation/electrical systems including PLC/DCS.
• Calibrate instruments and document PM activities.
• Read schematics and P&ID drawings; update maintenance docs.
