Job summary

YMCA of Catawba Valley seeks a Group Leader to supervise and engage children in before/after school and summer programs. You will plan and execute activities, monitor safety, and support the program coordinator with daily tasks.

Strong planning, communication, and teamwork are essential as you foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff in a dynamic YMCA environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with age-appropriate activities and materials is needed.
• Strong planning, organization, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement educational, recreational, and enrichment activities for children.
• Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
• Collaborate with staff to deliver cohesive program activities and progress reports.
• Maintain safe environments by following policies and reporting incidents promptly.
• Record attendance, incidents, and relevant information accurately.
