Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development is seeking a Substitute Paraeducator for Head Start in Wheatland, WY. You will support a Lead Teacher, prepare materials, and provide individualized care to children aged three to five to promote school readiness.

Responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, assisting with IFSP/IEP goals, maintaining a safe classroom, and collaborating with families to support development and behavior management.

Qualifications

• Must have a HS diploma or GED and be 18+ years old as required by state law.
• Must obtain a Child Development Associate credential within the required timeframe.
• WCFD accepts only degrees from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

Responsibilities

• Recruit children for the program following DHHS and WCFD guidelines.
• Implement lesson plans in various group settings as directed.
• Deliver direct services to children, families and staff in diverse settings.
• Communicate positively with staff, families, and children.
• Assist in organizing socialization activities for children and families.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide individualized educational activities to foster problem-solving and confidence.
• Support IFSP/IEP goals with teachers and families.
