Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development is seeking a Paraeducator Head Start to help create a safe, supportive classroom for 3–5 year olds. You will assist the Lead Teacher with materials, deliver direct services, and support families while following Head Start standards.

You'll work to promote social competence and school readiness, with duties including adapting activities for diverse needs, maintaining records, and participating in child screenings as needed. Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must work with children aged 3–5, including those with special needs.
• Understand developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood.
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Interact effectively with diverse staff, children and families.

Responsibilities

• Recruit children for the program per guidelines.
• Implement lesson plans in various group settings.
• Deliver direct services to children, families, and staff.
• Communicate positively with staff, children and families.
• Support IFSP/IEP goals with teachers and therapists.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe classrooms and assist in emergencies.
