Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development in Guernsey, WY, seeks a Long Term Substitute Paraeducator for Early Head Start. You will support children from birth to three, assist the Lead Teacher, prepare materials, and provide individualized care in a compliant environment.

You will follow Head Start/EHS standards, licensing rules, and WCFD policies while helping families and collaborating with teachers, therapists, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or GED and be 18+ years old.
• Must obtain a Child Development Associate Credential within the required timeframe.
• WCFD accepts degrees from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Recruit children for the program per guidelines from DHHS and WCFD.
• Provide infant/toddler care based on child development knowledge.
• Deliver direct services to children, families and staff in various settings.
• Communicate positively with staff, children and families.
• Assist in organizing group socialization activities for children and families.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide individualized educational activities to foster exploration and problem solving.
