MacArthur Co. is a 100% employee-owned national distributor of building materials with roots dating back to 1913. As Inside Sales, you will connect our outside sales team with customers, understand products and culture, and ensure orders are processed accurately in a fast-paced environment.

An ideal candidate will build relationships, communicate effectively, and support both customers and the outside sales team while maintaining high-quality operations and loyalty to long-term customers.

Qualifications

• Inside sales and customer service experience are required.
• Roofing, mechanical, industrial, HVAC, and siding product knowledge preferred.
• Experience in the construction industry is helpful.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Detail-oriented and focused; able to concentrate on tasks for long periods.
• Persuasive teaching style to communicate the company's products and services.
• Follow established guidelines, structure, and policies while working with others.
• Be a team player who isn’t afraid of leading and rolling up sleeves.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily sales operations of a building materials distribution center.
• Build solid relationships with customers and co-workers based on trust and competence.
• Diagnose problems and provide proven solutions.
• Follow up carefully and cheerfully with customers to preserve relationships.
• Support outside sales team members.
• Work daily with long-term customers.
• Finalize and oversee fulfillment of customer orders.
• Work within own area of expertise to ensure high-quality results.
• Handle detailed work quickly and correctly.
• Support a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
