Job summary

Rexel USA in Stratford, CT is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to drive proactive inside sales and customer relationships. You will process quotes and orders, provide product knowledge, and grow the existing customer base.

You’ll use company tools to sell, answer technical questions, and pursue new accounts within your territory. This role demands strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience.
• High School or GED is required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer-focused and able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process telephone orders by quoting product prices, delivery specifications, and payment terms and by offering substitute products where appropriate.
• Assist outside sales personnel by processing priority transactions.
• Utilize company digital tools to sell, market, promote, demonstrate products, answer technical questions, and increase business.
• Prospect for new accounts within a specified geographical territory.
• Manage a defined customer base and establish and maintain customer relationships.
• Learn and evaluate customer operations to identify objectives and requirements; close orders and resolve issues.
• Process product quotations/proposals and provide continuous follow up throughout the purchasing cycle.
• Gather and report market information to management.
• Participate in product meetings and training to enhance knowledge.
• Pursue product applications using internal resources and vendor representatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
