Job summary

DTS Fluid Power in Grandville, MI is seeking a Customer Service Support Representative (CSSR) to handle order inquiries, quotes, and account questions by phone and email. Training will be provided for hydraulic product lines, and experience in fluid power is a plus.

You will coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and sales teams to resolve issues, maintain CRM records, and follow up on open quotes and deliveries. Strong communication and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service, inside sales, or call center experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree a plus
• Experience with hydraulics, fluid power, or industrial/mechanical products preferred but not required
• Strong phone etiquette and verbal/written communication skills
• Comfortable learning and using order entry, CRM, or ERP software
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first attitude
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound customer calls and emails regarding orders, pricing, availability, and account status.
• Process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner using Prophet 21
• Prepare and follow up on quotes for any and all parts and services provided.
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions, escalating technical questions to sales or technical staff as needed.
• Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and outside sales teams to resolve order issues, backorders, and delivery questions.
• Maintain accurate customer records and order documentation in the CRM/ERP system.
• Proactively follow up with customers on open quotes, orders, and accounting needs to support sales goals.
• Handle customer complaints or escalations professionally, working toward timely resolution.
• Stay current on product offerings, promotions, and pricing through internal training.
