Job summary

Dakota Fluid Power is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide timely and professional service to customers while supporting DFP Sales through effective communication and organization. You will assist customers, process quotes and orders, and work with multiple departments to ensure a positive experience.

The role includes handling quotes, orders, and parts, assisting with training, and possibly working Saturdays in rotation. Strong hydraulics knowledge and ERP proficiency are valued.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and listening/phone skills.
• Proficiency with computers and ERP systems (P21).

Responsibilities

• Assist phone and walk-in customers, inspect worn/damaged/defective parts, determine replacements, troubleshoot and research products and prices to best fit application.
• Assist service customers, determine needs, and work with service department to provide prompt, courteous service.
• Demonstrate broad understanding of DFP’s customer service functions, processes and tools and their impact on other departments.
• Generate quotes, process and enter orders, contact vendors, update records and track orders; process returns; interpret pricing via ERP (P21).
• Manufacture hose assemblies, tubing, and other assemblies as needed.
• Support Account Managers with price, availability, product specs, order status and other information.
• Achieve productivity and sales goals; multitask on multiple projects.
• Maintain clean organized work stations and showroom; replenish stock.
• Mentor and train new hires in the department; attend product training and seminars.
• Possibly work Saturdays as part of rotation; collaborate across departments to maintain a positive team environment.
• Other duties assigned by Management.
