Job summary

Thermal Dynamics is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to own our inbound sales for steam traps, valves, pumps, and related equipment. You will quote, close, and see orders through to customers, working with the outside sales team and order entry coordinator, while keeping customers and deals you bring in your own.

Responsibilities include qualifying inbound inquiries, building quotes in CRM, following up on quotes, and managing your pipeline.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inside sales, counter sales, or customer-facing technical sales experience.
• Able to read product specifications and ask the right technical questions.
• Strong phone and written communication skills.
• Experience with a CRM or order management system.
• Organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing a pipeline without reminders.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound sales calls, emails, and web inquiries and qualify customer needs.
• Build quotes for products and standard service work using CRM and pricing guidelines.
• Follow up on open quotes and close sales with new and existing smaller accounts.
• Manage your pipeline in CRM and keep deal records accurate.
• Recommend replacement parts, upgrades, and service opportunities based on customer needs.
• Coordinate with order entry, purchasing, and shop to confirm lead times and delivery.
• Work with manufacturers and distributors on pricing and availability.
• Hand off larger opportunities to outside sales and support them as needed.
