Job summary

Thermal Devices is seeking an Inside Technical Sales Representative in Mount Airy, MD to provide technical sales support for industrial heaters and process controls. This on-site role collaborates with customers, manufacturers, and the outside sales team to prepare quotes, process orders, and grow key accounts.

You will respond to inquiries, deliver product recommendations, maintain CRM records, and stay current on industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Technical aptitude with ability to learn industrial products.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding industrial heaters, temperature controls, sensors, and related products.
• Prepare quotes, bids, and proposals based on customer requirements.
• Process customer orders and provide order status, tracking information, and follow-up.
• Provide technical support and product recommendations to customers and the sales team.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.
• Prospect for new business through outbound phone calls and follow-up activities.
• Coordinate with manufacturers regarding pricing, product availability, lead times, and technical information.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales activity within the ERP and CRM systems.
• Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Continuously develop product knowledge and stay current on industry trends.
