Richards Building Supply is hiring an Inside Sales Representative in Calumet City, IL. You will be the backbone of customer relationships, advising contractors and professionals on the best products for their projects. Expect a full-time schedule, some OT, and a path for growth within a family-owned company.

You will handle orders, educate customers on promotions, and collaborate with Outside Sales to meet demand. Training is provided for motivated candidates.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in a customer-facing sales role or distribution environment.
• Strong computer skills; CRM experience is a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Spanish language ability is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to customers, helping them pick the right products.
• Handle inbound/outbound interactions by phone or in person.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales to drive sales and resolve needs.
• Process orders, track inventory, and coordinate transfers.
• Educate customers on promotions, products, and trends to boost sales.
• Maintain records, process payments, and ensure order fulfillment.
