Job summary

Richards Building Supply, a family‑owned and operated company, is hiring an Inside Sales Representative to be the backbone of our customer relationships. You will advise contractors on products, handle inbound and outbound interactions, and coordinate orders for a fast‑paced branch operation.

You will collaborate with Outside Sales, manage inventory, and promote promotions and industry trends to drive sales.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a customer-facing role (sales/retail/distribution).
• Strong computer skills; CRM experience a plus.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them find the right products for their projects.
• Handle inbound and outbound customer interactions—phone or in‑person—ensuring every customer feels valued.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales reps to drive sales and resolve customer needs.
• Process orders, track inventory, and coordinate product transfers to meet customer demands.
• Educate customers on promotions, new products, and industry trends to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records, process payments, and ensure seamless order fulfillment.
• Help out in the warehouse as needed.
