Job summary

World Electric, part of the Sonepar family, seeks an Inside Sales Representative to support a growing customer base across Florida and Georgia. You will process orders, coordinate internal functions, and maintain profitability across product lines.

You will handle calls, quotes, outbound follow-ups, and order placement while collaborating with outside sales and shipping to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two‑year certificate/degree or 6 months to 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Interact with customers over the telephone and in person with diplomacy.
• Experience using digital sales tools (quotes, tracking, and related web capabilities).

Responsibilities

• Receive calls from customers to explain product or service offerings.
• Quote prices and complete purchases; follow up on quotes.
• Place and schedule orders, arrange delivery dates and pickups.
• Record customer information and responses for prospects.
• Collaborate with outside sales and management to maintain account satisfaction.
• Work with shipping to arrange delivery circumstances.
• Prepare and analyze sales activity reports, including expediting.
• Source products for special/non-stock orders and prepare quotations.
• Provide reporting information to sales management and teams.
• Follow up after sending quotes.
• Handle billing/service complaints and ensure returns follow policy.
• Demonstrate entrepreneurial and assertive behavior to meet goals.
