Job summary

Capital Electric is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to maintain, identify, and grow the customer base, deliver consistent superior service, and increase sales and margins. You will manage project quotations and orders, work with diverse customer types, and support the sales team.

The role emphasizes accurate pricing, order entry, and proactive follow-up on deliveries, with a culture of reliability and teamwork within a large electrical distributor network including the Sonepar group.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 2-3 years Inside Sales experience preferred (electrical distribution industry preferred).
• Eclipse or Solar experience is a plus.
• Solid customer service background.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite; Eclipse knowledge preferred.
• Good and dependable mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Reliable, responsible, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, accurate, and complete project quotations.
• Provide accurate project management of project orders.
• Handle multiple customer types including contractor, government, commercial and industrial.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with project vendors and customers.
• Enter orders for different jobs for different customers.
• Set up certain customers on blankets.
• Follow up on product deliveries.
• Assist counter with sales.
• Show courtesy and politeness toward customers.
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day.
• Other duties as required.
