Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to serve as a key customer contact at our Abilene branch, advising customers, quoting and selling equipment and services.

You will build relationships, manage quotations, process orders, dispatch deliveries, and pursue new business while delivering outstanding service and contributing to branch growth. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred; strong communication and multitasking skills are essential; many benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills.
• Strong multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Process rental quotations, reservations and contracts.
• Establish new rental and sales accounts by serving walk-in and call-in customers.
• Negotiate prices on equipment rentals and contractor supplies.
• Dispatch delivery trucks and manage customer expectations regarding delivery.
• Generate leads for new business and communicate leads with Outside Sales Representatives.
• Warm call on lost and/or dormant accounts to retain business.
• Maintain a clean and presentable showroom, sufficiently stocked with merchandise.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
