Job summary

Elliott Electric Supply is seeking a customer-focused professional to process orders, quote prices, and provide delivery and payment terms. You will assist in developing customer accounts and offer substitutes where applicable, supporting Outside Sales Representatives.

Maintain accurate customer data, contract terms, and bonded inventory requirements while using practical problem solving to resolve issues and optimize profitability for the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with minimum 2 years related experience preferred.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations to complete tasks (margins).
• Use sound judgment, listening and problem solving to address customer issues.
• Product and application knowledge essential.
• PC proficiency for data entry and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to process orders and inquiries, quote prices, and provide delivery terms and payment terms.
• Offer substitute products when applicable and negotiate quotes for volume purchases.
• Develop new and current customer accounts by marketing product lines and value-added services.
• Maintain current customer information including contracts, bonded inventory, terms and other details.
• Support Outside Sales Representatives and provide sales support for designated customers.

Job description

Primarily responsible for interfacing with customers to process orders and inquiries through quoting product prices, providing delivery specifications and payment terms and by offering substitute products where applicable. May be assigned to one or more Outside Sales Representatives, providing sales support and customer service for specific customers. Develop new and current customer accounts by marketing company product lines and offering value-added services and availability information to callers. Maintain current customer information including sales contracts, bonded inventory requirements, contract terms and other pertinent account details. Process telephone orders by quoting product, prices, delivery specifications and payment terms and by offering substitute products where appropriate. Negotiate and establish sales quotes based on volume of products purchased and nature of marketplace to effectively offer competitive pricing and ensure the highest profitability.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
