Job summary

Elliott Electric Supply seeks a customer-focused professional to interface with customers, process orders, and quote prices. The role includes supporting outside sales and expanding key accounts in a fast-paced environment.

You will maintain customer information, negotiate quotes, and ensure accurate delivery specifications and payment terms. Strong product knowledge and MS Office skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with minimum 2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (e.g. margins).
• Product and application knowledge essential.
• PC proficiency for data entry and utilization of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to process orders and inquiries, quoting prices and terms.
• Provide delivery specifications and payment terms, and suggest substitutes where applicable.
• Support Outside Sales Representatives and develop assigned accounts.
• Maintain current customer information including contracts and bonded inventory requirements.
• Process telephone orders by quoting products, delivery terms, and payment terms.
• Negotiate and establish sales quotes based on volume and marketplace profitability.

Job description

Primarily responsible for interfacing with customers to process orders and inquiries through quoting product prices, providing delivery specifications and payment terms and by offering substitute products where applicable. May be assigned to one or more Outside Sales Representatives, providing sales support and customer service for specific customers. Develop new and current customer accounts by marketing company product lines and offering value-added services and availability information to callers. Maintain current customer information including sales contracts, bonded inventory requirements, contract terms and other pertinent account details. Process telephone orders by quoting product, prices, delivery specifications and payment terms and by offering substitute products where appropriate. Negotiate and establish sales quotes based on volume of products purchased and nature of marketplace to effectively offer competitive pricing and ensure the highest profitability.

Qualifications:

High school diploma with minimum 2 years related experience preferred. Perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks (i.e. margins). Use sound judgment, listening and problem solving skills to analyze customer problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Product and application knowledge essential. PC proficiency for data entry and utilization of Microsoft Office applications.
