Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an Inside Sales and Service Representative at the Cincinnati Customer Center. The role includes sales support from inquiry to delivery, parts identification, quoting, order processing, pricing, and expediting to resolve issues and keep customers informed.

As you gain experience, you may assist the outside sales force with lead generation, market intelligence, and coordination on special projects. A highly physical environment with safety compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree or 2-3 years of relevant experience required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Technical background highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer requests to generate sales of compressed air products, services, and parts.
• Assist customers with parts identification and generate quotes for customers to ensure quotes transition to orders.
• Manage orders to ensure delivery schedule is achieved.
• Act as key customer contact to provide information through the complete sales cycle from quote to delivery.
• Mentor peers and share best practices with those less experienced as needed.
• Manage inventory to stocking levels; ensure the order process is complete and error-free.
• Manage outside purchases and product transportation expenses effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure environmental, health and safety compliance.
• Operate forklift in Parts Warehouse within compliance.
• Prepare all sales and activity reports, presentations, studies and research as requested.
