Job summary

Patuxent Materials, Inc. is seeking a full-time Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative to join our team.

Duties for this position include providing an excellent customer service experience, working with Dispatch to manage order information and communications, researching, and troubleshooting order issues, maintaining project and bid lists, processing incoming information and generating reports and project information.

Qualifications

• 1 year of general work experience in customer service or inside sales preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Receive and reply to customer inquiries related to pricing, product types and project information.
• Quote COD customers and requests.
• Generate orders and communicate delivery instructions through dispatch.
• Post delivery customer follow up through phone or email.
• Research and pursue project leads for outside sales.
• Interact with Sales team to relay information such as job location, contacts, material types and quantities.
• Review customer concerns with Sales and Dispatch.
• Qualify customers for projects listed through online Bid listings.
• Send and receive credit applications.
• Maintaining material information and specifications.
• Occasional office visits to customers.

Responsibilities

• Quote COD customers and requests.

• Post delivery customer follow up through phone calls or emails.
• Call assigned customers to inquire on potential needs.
• Research and pursue project leads and potential contacts for outside sale team.
• Generate project information and customer leads. Interact closely with Sales team by relaying information such as job location, contacts, material types and quantities.
• Review customer concerns with Sales and Dispatch.
• Qualify customers for projects listed through online Bid listings.
• Send and receive credit applications.
• Maintaining material information and specifications.
• Occasional office visits to customers.
