Job summary

Purvis Industries, LLC. is seeking an Inside Sales/Customer Service specialist to support counter activities and respond to inquiries across phone, email, and online channels. You will assist outside sales, prepare quotes, bids, and orders, and process documentation to ensure timely delivery of products.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a proactive approach to customer satisfaction in a fast-paced industrial distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Inside sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with counter sales and customer service activities as needed.
• Process internal and external customer inquiries by phone, email, mail, or online platforms.
• Support outside sales by preparing quotations, bids, and customer orders.
• Enter and maintain customer orders, quotes, bids, and related sales documentation.
• Purchase products to fulfill customer orders.
• Quote and sell products to provide value while supporting profitability.
• Identify and close sales opportunities with customers.
• Provide product, pricing, and availability information from catalogs.
• Resolve customer concerns or coordinate with management for support.
• Increase sales through cross-selling and upselling.
• Promote and sell excess inventory and discontinued products.
• Handle complaints, returns, and service issues professionally.
• Provide after-hours support when required.
• Maintain product knowledge to support customer needs.
• Monitor competitor pricing and market activity.
• Deliver exceptional service and maintain customer relationships.
• Adhere to policies, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
• Maintain records of customer transactions.
