Stevens Transport, Inc. is seeking an Inside CDL Driver Recruiter to manage recruitment of CDL drivers from an office or remote location.

The role focuses on sourcing, screening, interviewing and hiring qualified drivers to sustain a skilled, compliant driver workforce. The position emphasizes timely, professional communication, compliance with DOT/FMCSA standards, and collaboration with hiring managers to extend offers and coordinate onboarding and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment software, and related tools.
• Strong computer and typing skills in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls and email
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines
• Ability to provide valuable and timely customer service to candidates, hiring managers and senior level management
• Ability to take initiative
• Capable of thriving as a team player but also driven by autonomy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing CDL drivers using ATS databases and referrals.
• Screening and evaluating candidates’ qualifications and compliance with CDL requirements.
• Verifying driving records, criminal records and employment history.
• Coordinating and conducting in-depth interviews to assess skills and fit.
• Extending offers and negotiating compensation as needed.
• Onboarding support including orientation and training coordination.
• Generating recruitment reports and managing candidate data in systems.
• Building relationships with current and potential drivers and networking at events.
