Job summary

Land Rover Santa Monica, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is seeking an Internal Service Advisor to schedule service appointments, obtain customer and vehicle data, and provide accurate written cost estimates. You will establish promised times and monitor progress throughout the day.

The role requires strong communication, basic automotive knowledge, and the ability to explain repairs clearly while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of dealership experience.
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Professional appearance.
• Authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments.
• Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Establishes promised time and communicates changes to customers.
• Monitors progress of repair and informs customers of changes.
• Test-drives or references test technician as needed.
• Maintains CSI at least comparable to manufacturer/branch average.
• Advises customers on vehicle care per manufacturers' specs.
• Follows safety policies and reports accidents.
