Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician at Swedish Hospital in Chicago. This full-time role (36 hrs/week) provides direct patient care on the 4E Med/Surg/Tele unit under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse Manager.

You will perform vital signs, assist with hygiene, mobility, and nutrition, document in EMR, and follow safety procedures and PPE guidelines. CNAs or equivalent training and CPR certification required.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course, or equivalent experience.
• American Heart Association CPR certification.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to interact effectively with others and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organized and self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and health care team.
• Assist with hygiene, elimination, mobility, and nutrition needs.
• Set up patient rooms, attach monitoring leads, and record vital signs in EMR.
• Follow safety, PPE, and patient handling procedures; perform rounds every two hours.
• Give hand-off reports to oncoming staff and maintain patient privacy.
